Sophie Barksdale

Sophie’s career in arts administration has made her an all-rounder and project management is her forte. But it’s passions for storytelling through film and for travel that have resulted in an international career in the film industry. In the past 10 years, she has worked for the Bord Scannan na hEireann/the Irish Film Board and on film festivals in Australia, Ireland and the US, as well as for one of Australia’s premier cultural institutions. She brings a wide range of experience to The Content Lab, having worked in production, promotion, human resources, venue and event management.

Gina is a Wyoming native who grew up enjoying the outdoors with her family.  After graduating with a B.A. in Communications from the University of Utah, she spent 14 years working in technology for the tourism and convention industry.  She moved back to Wyoming in 2003 and has been working in her own business services company since 2013. The Content Lab has introduced her to the film industry and she loves being a part of the process as the bookkeeper. Gina is on the board of the Lander Community Foundation and also volunteers her time with several Lander area nonprofits.

Leigh has worked in film production for the past 20 years, having produced, shot and edited environmental and sports programming in the form of network shows, independent documentaries, and web shorts. Her intrepid nature and creative sensibility continues to fuel her passion for filmmaking. Leigh strives to educate through film and is committed to bringing greater awareness to the interconnectedness we share.

Virginia began her documentary film career working at Wyoming PBS in 2007. She spent three years in Canada working as production manager and associate producer on several award-winning natural history documentaries for National Geographic Television, BBC, and CBC. She has also produced videos for various non-profits and government agencies.

Peter started working in the motion picture industry in 1989 in the grip and lighting departments, and soon moved into the camera department, eventually becoming a Director of Photography.  In the late 1990's he began shooting documentaries.  His films have been showcased at Mountain Film in Telluride, the Banff Mountain Film Festival, and on National Geographic TV.
- Executive Producer

For over 20 years, Geoff worked for Wyoming PBS as a public affairs host and documentary producer. His productions have won a variety of prizes, including a Heartland Emmy for best documentary, and the National Educational Television Association’s top prize for documentary.  Geoff is also the author of two books.
